Summer Cherry and Green Chamomile Popsicles
Ingredients
- 2 tsp Mosi Green Chamomile loose leaf tea
- 4 cups cherries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 100 g container of greek yogurt
Tools + Equipment
- Mosi All-in-One infuser to combine all the ingredients easily
- Measuring spoons
- Measuring cup
- Popsicle molder
Directions
STEP 1: Fill the silicone sieve with Mosi Green Chamomile tea then secure it to the infuser lid.
STEP 2: Pour water (about 185 degrees which has small boiling bubbles) into your infuser through the spout.
STEP 3: Attach the lid, switch up the lock, and flip the infuser upside down for 2-4 minutes then flip over. Let the tea sit for 15 minutes or until it is cooled off.
STEP 4: The first step in making these popsicles is turning cherries into a sweet sauce. Place the cherries, sugar, water and lemon juice in a small sauce pan. Bring cherries to a boil over medium-high heat.
STEP 5: Once the mixture comes to a boil, bring the heat down to medium-low and simmer until the cherries soften. Use a potato masher to gently smash the skin off the cherries and help with the breaking down of the cherries. When the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes, remove from the heat.
STEP 6: Place a fine sieve over a medium sized bowl. Pour the cherries into the sieve and use a spatula or, the back of a wooden spoon, to press the cherries through the sieve. Remove the pits and do a little more pressing. Set the sauce aside to cool completely…preferably overnight in the fridge.
STEP 7: Pour the cooled cherry sauce into the popsicle mold…fill the mold half way. Scoop 2 tsp of yogurt into the mold and top up the mold with cherry sauce. There should be enough sauce for 4 popsicles, at least.
STEP 8: Freeze popsicles at least 8 hours…then remove. To easily remove them from the molds, run the outside of the molds under hot water for a few seconds to loosen them. Enjoy!
